General Membership Questions

How do I JOIN or RENEW?

Using the links below, you can join or renew online:

Alternatively, you can mail a check, made out to Frameline, to 145 9th Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94103.

Do Frameline Membership benefits carry over from year to year?

Festival benefits are valid only for the Festival year your Membership was purchased in. If benefits are not used, they do not accrue and cannot be used the following year.

I'm having trouble signing in on the front page or to access my Member benefits

You can select either Email or Membership Number (aka your Member ID #) to sign in.

If you don’t remember your password or don’t remember making one, click Forgotten Password. Make sure to enter the email address your Membership account is linked to.

If you can’t remember your Member ID #, this is located in your Welcome/Thank You for Renewing email. It’s also on your Membership purchase receipt; this is NOT the same as your Customer ID, which you do not need after you become a Member.

Are Frameline Memberships refundable?

No, all Membership sales are final.

I accidentally purchased a ticket at full price — can I get a refund?

No, any transactions placed without accessing and/or applying your Member benefits will not be refunded or exchanged.

How do I find out about Frameline Member events?

Make sure you’re subscribed to our email list! Please Note: If you unsubscribe from our e-news list — or any other emails from Frameline — the system unsubscribes you from all of our emails.

Can I purchase a Membership with DAF (Donor Advised Fund), QCD (Qualified Charitable Distribution), or with payment platforms through my employer (Benevity, Cybergrants, etc.)?

No. To ensure full compliance with current tax laws, the IRS does not allow DAF/QCD grants to be used for memberships that include benefits such as festival tickets, passes, or gala invitations.

Because of these rules, we are unable to apply your DAF/QCD gift toward a standard Frameline membership that includes these perks.

Questions About Festival Membership Benefits

What is a Voucher?

  • Vouchers are complimentary to Frameline Members and may be redeemed for tickets to regularly priced Festival screenings.
  • Vouchers may NOT be used to access tickets for Opening Night, First Friday/Centerpiece, Pride Kickoff, or Closing Night films or parties.
  • Before the Festival program goes live you will receive instructions on how to redeem them for tickets to Festival films.
  • You will sign into your Frameline account on our home page to access these. We will update you closer to the ticket sale date when it’s time to sign into your Frameline account, via our homepage, to access your voucher. (Typically, we reach out soon after the Festival program is revealed.) After signing in, go to the page of the film you want to see, click “Book Tickets,” and you should see “Voucher – Member $0.”
