Faggots Are for Burning

Directed by Barry McKay
1996
Australia
10 mins

Faggots Are for Burning is an intense, impressionistic, and compelling melange of sound and image. It is a story strongly controversial to the church, yet personal. The film deals with a young gay man's inner conflict with his sexuality and subsequent journey through the world of Christian Fundamentalism in search of answers. This film portrays the effect upon the individual when these two intrinsically opposed forces are brought together.
