Riggs acclaimed account of gay black life in the 1989 groundbreaking film Tongues Untied or short films hailing from countries as varied as The Philippines and South Africa, the Frameline Distribution Collection examines the varied past and present experiences of LGBTQ people.
Educational purchase prices include public performance rights, and discounts are available to qualifying community organizations. We also offer one time rentals for many films if you are hosting an event.
Frameline is the only nonprofit LGBTQ film distributor in the US, reaching hundreds of thousands of students, educators, professionals, festival attendees, and others over the past 35+ years. Our titles have won diverse awards from festivals and media organizations worldwide, and aired on cable channels such as Comcast, The Sundance Channel, Logo, and HereTV, in addition to numerous local public television stations. Our collection currently includes more than 250 titles, focusing on documentaries, short films and queer cinema classics.
