Trans teen Internet sensation Alice has it going on: an apartment in a cool beach town, a loving dad, her own advice vlog, an almost-win on Teen Top Model, and a cat named Rhinoceros. All she’s missing is her first real kiss, but she’s pretty sure that’s coming her way soon. So when her dad relocates the family to rural southern Brazil, and worse, sends Alice to an old-fashioned Catholic school, things start to look pretty desperate.

Alice, played with sass and verve by Anna Celestino Mota, doesn’t let it get her down for long though, as she rises above being misgendered and bullied to find herself surrounded by a new set of supportive pals and with a whole new outlook. And yes, she finds that first kiss, in the most unlikely place.
