Armed with hidden buttonhole cameras two gay men, one black and one white, go to two gay bars in New York, one predominantly black and one predominantly white, to uncover the “racialized geographies of New York’s gay bar scene.” This short film was released in the year 2000, but director Rodney Evans (Brother to Brother, Persistence of Vision, The Happy Sad) short film on the complexity of racial identities and LGBTQ+ identities is just as relevant today.
