Roberta Loved

This is the life of Roberta, a secretary who one day is laid off from her job and on the same day is diagnosed with a deadly brain tumor. Alone on her last night on Earth, she phones Kevin, a bisexual hustler who advertises that “freaks” are his specialty. As her final hours rush by, Roberta and Kevin develop an intense, sublime and horrifying relationship. Roberta Loved is an early film by Q. Allan Brocka who went on to make Eating Out, Boy Culture, and Rick and Steve the Happiest Gay Couple in All the World. Look for a special guest appearance by Mink Stole of Desperate Living!
