A Trio of Free Advanced Screenings in November!

Please Note: Our screenings for The Inspection and Spoiler Alert are currently sold out.

Following screenings of Todd Field’s electrifying Tár, starring Cate Blanchett, and Michael Grandage’s My Policeman in October, we’re excited to present three special free screenings for November: Elegance Bratton’s The Inspection on Nov. 10, Michael Showalter’s Spoiler Alert on Nov. 14, and The L Word: Generation Q on Nov. 17.

Jeremy Pope in The Inspection

First up is the narrative feature debut of Frameline alum and Completion Fund recipient Elegance Bratton (Pier Kids, Frameline44; Buck, Frameline44): The Inspection. Fresh off receiving a trio of Gotham Award nominations, The Inspection is Bratton’s semi-autobiographical tale of a young gay Black man in the Marines struggling for acceptance. Produced by A24 and selected as the Closing Night Feature at the prestigious New York Film Festival, The Inspection features an exceptional cast of newcomers including Jeremy Pope (One Night in Miami), McCauli Lombardi (American Honey), and Aaron Dominguez (Only Murders in the Building), alongside Bokeem Woodbine and Gotham Award nominees Raúl Castillo (Looking) and Gabrielle Union. The screening will be held on Nov. 10 at CGV San Francisco 14.

Jim Parsons and Ben Aldridge in Spoiler Alert

Start the holiday season with us—as well as special guests Jim Parsons, Ben Aldridge, and author Michael Ausiello—at the Castro Theatre on Monday, November 14 at 7pm with Focus Features’ Spoiler Alert. Adapted from Ausiello’s memoir by famed columnist Dan Savage and David Marshall Grant (A Million Little Things), Spoiler Alert is a gay romantic dramedy sure to make you laugh and cry into your ugly holiday sweaters. Directed by Michael Showalter (The Big Sick; The Eyes of Tammy Faye), the film stars Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) and Ben Aldridge (Fleabag), alongside Bill Irwin (This Is Us), Antoni Porowski (Queer Eye), Jeffery Self (Search Party), and the always-amazing Sally Field.

Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey, and Kate Moennig in The L Word: Generation Q

After a hugely successful screening of the series premiere at the Castro Theatre in 2019 and a virtual premiere of season 2 in 2021, we’re excited to return to the Castro for a free, in-person advance screening of the first episode of Season 3 of the SHOWTIME® Original Series The L Word: Generation Q on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7pm at The Castro Theatre.

Picking up right where the dramatic season two cliffhanger left off, the series continues to follow the cast of characters as they struggle with secrets, old scars and new flames on their search for “The One.” Tell all your friends, and grab your free tickets to this screening via this link! See you at the cinema this November!!
