Razor Tongue

Directed by Natalie Heltzel, Sarah Poynter, Puppett, & Kalena Ranoa2019USA39 mins

With a sharp comedic touch, Razor Tongue explores the complexities of manifesting self-love in a world filled with misogyny and discrimination. It centers on the experiences of Belle (writer and creator Rain Valdez), a trans woman who has zero tolerance for bullshit. Over the course of seven episodes, Belle uses her razor tongue to expose the toxic behavior of men she encounters, but when a podcast host named Ariel (Alexandra Grey of Transparent) invites Belle to be a guest on her show, the tables turn in an unexpected and shocking way.

'Razor Tongue' is screening in:

Double Feature: Razor Tongue & the T

Frameline43 is thrilled to present two whip-smart, heartfelt dramedies centering on the transfeminine experience. In both the T and Razor Tongue, friendship and romance get tested by discriminatory forces, as well as bouts of crippling self-doubt.
