Boomerang
The story opens with a young man, Paul (Antoine Morin) in a hospital bed, his distraught mother (Nanou Garcia) by his side. As the narrative moves back in time, we discover the sexual obsession that brought Paul to the brink of madness. His mother hopes Paul will find a nice girl; his sister knows better. With a sensibility reminiscent of Giovanni's Room, Brevière offers a unique portrayal of youth and of passion.

Like a Brother introduces us to 19-year-old Zack, who has just moved to gay Paris from a small French town. Checking out the club scene and hooking up on chat lines, Zack is determined to live his life — and fulfill his desires — without answering to anybody.
