About Frameline

Frameline's mission is to change the world through the power of queer cinema. As a media arts non-profit, Frameline's programs connect filmmakers and audiences in San Francisco and around the world. Frameline's integrated programs provide critical funding for emerging LGBTQ+ filmmakers, reach hundreds of thousands with a collection of more than 250 films distributed nationally, inspire thousands of students through Youth In Motion, which sends free films and curricula to schools across the nation, and creates an international stage for the world's best queer film through the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival and additional screenings and cinematic events.

Year Round

Executive Director
Frameline, the world's largest non-profit solely dedicated to LGBTQ+ film media, is conducting a nationwide search to select a world class Executive Director to lead Frameline in its next phase of growth. This is a full-time position in San Francisco, California. The position reports to the Board of Directors, and has overall strategic, financial, management, and operational responsibility for Frameline.

Festival Operations Manager
The Festival Operations Manager is responsible for the successful operational and logistical execution of Frameline43 (June 20 - 30, 2019). The position strengthens Frameline's infrastructure through detailed management of Festival operations and staff, and the development and maintenance of streamlined Festival logistics processes. The position will manage all aspects of Festival operations, collaborate with the Technical Consultant and venue management to ensure smooth operational flow, assist the Programming department in creating the Festival schedule, and support Publications production and distribution processes. This position hires, trains, and supervises House Managers, and also works closely with the Technical Consultant, Volunteer Coordinator, and Box Office staff.

Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and supervising 400-500 volunteers before and during Frameline43 (June 20 - 30, 2019), ensuring that all volunteer shifts are covered and that all Festival staff are suitably supported by volunteers. This position works closely with the Operations team and is responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of the Volunteer Intern(s) and Volunteer Captain(s).

Marketing & Communications Intern
Frameline seeks a media-savvy, content-creating Marketing & Communications Intern who will support our social media, communications, and marketing efforts. Responsibilities may include copy writing and content creation and curation for Frameline's digital communications. Additional responsibilities may be added based on time, organizational needs, and the intern's unique skills and interests. This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships and the Communications Manager.

Programming Intern
The Programming Intern will assist the Programming & Hospitality Manager who provides direct support to the Director of Exhibition & Programming in all regards to film entries, film reviews, correspondence relating to film entries, and programming of the Festival.
