About Frameline

Frameline's mission is to change the world through the power of queer cinema. As a media arts non-profit, Frameline's programs connect filmmakers and audiences in San Francisco and around the world. Frameline's integrated programs provide critical funding for emerging LGBTQ filmmakers, reach hundreds of thousands with a collection of more than 250 films distributed nationally, inspire thousands of students through Youth In Motion, which sends free films and curricula to schools across the nation, and creates an international stage for the world's best queer film through the San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival and additional screenings and cinematic events.

Director of Exhibition & Programming

The Director of Exhibition & Programming develops, directs and implements curatorial vision for Frameline's exhibition programs including the signature San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival, year-round screenings, special events and administers the Frameline Completion Fund. The Director of Exhibition & Programming serves as team leader for Frameline's programming team, working in collaboration with those who manage supporting departments. Reporting directly to and working closely with the Executive Director, the Director of Exhibition & Programming is responsible for artistic, curatorial, operational, and budgetary oversight for Frameline's Exhibition/Festival and Filmmaker Support programs.

Director of Distribution & Educational Programming

The Director of Distribution & Educational Programming manages three of Frameline's six programs; Frameline Distribution, Frameline Voices and Youth in Motion. The ideal candidate for this position will possess an ability to manage all elements of the film acquisition and distribution process, including maintaining relationships with directors, producers, subdistributors, and customers as well as managing projects large and small under both the Distribution and Educational Programming umbrellas. The candidate must possess an understanding of and passion for LGBTQ film and media arts, and have a familiarity with the queer community.

Operations & Systems Manager

The Operations & Systems Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all year-round administrative and operational functions of Frameline's exhibition programs; including the annual Film Festival, year-round screenings, and special events. Additionally, the position would manage org-wide human resources and ensure a cohesive infrastructure for year-round effectiveness across all programs including oversight of year- round operational and administrative projects. The position reports to the Executive Director as well as the Director of Exhibition & Programming and works collaboratively with additional Frameline manager and director level staff. The position will work closely with the internal Finance Manager, as well as external vendors including the box office ticketing vendor, and building and IT managers. The Operations & Systems Manager would directly oversee key seasonal operations and production staff and vendors as related to the Festival.
