We're excited to keep you in the loop on all things Frameline (with no spam - ever!)
We’re excited to welcome you to Frameline49, the 49th San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival! Before you arrive in the Bay Area, we suggest reviewing our handy Guest FAQ.
Frameline49 — the 49th San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival — runs from June 18–28, 2025. As always, the second weekend of the Festival falls during Pride in San Francisco.
The Frameline49 program will go live on our website on Wednesday, May 14 at 10:00 AM PST. We ask that you DO NOT announce the inclusion of your film in the Festival until the aforementioned time, unless otherwise noted by the Frameline Programming Team.
Laurels are available to download from our FL49 Filmmaker Resources Dropbox.
Each Festival film receives two (x2) Guest Accreditations. The accreditation provides you and another member of your film team with a badge and special benefits. To receive a badge, please fill out the Frameline49 Guest Accreditation Form.
Guest badges are granted at the discretion of the Festival and are personal and non-transferable. Accreditation provides a variety of benefits, including access to screenings, events, networking opportunities, and specialized Festival services.
Forms must be received no later than May 16, 2025.
Badges can be picked up at the Guest Services Desk, which is located at 518 Valencia Street (around the corner from the Roxie Theater) in the Festival Lounge during the following times:
*Morning badge pick up will NOT be available on Monday, June 23, but will be available from 2–6 PM.
Please email the Guest Services Team at hospitality@frameline.org as soon as possible to ensure your guest benefits are uninterrupted.
Accredited Guests have access to the Festival Lounge, Industry Day (Monday, June 23), and select parties and events, if capacity allows. Although your badge is NOT a ticket, accreditation also entitles you to the following ticket benefits:
Complimentary Tickets to YOUR Film’s Screening(s)
Each film is allotted a specific number of complimentary tickets based on the screening venue’s capacity:
Voucher Codes for Complimentary Tickets
Each accredited guest will be provided with a unique voucher code redeemable for ten (x10) complimentary screening tickets. (Some exclusions may apply.)
Voucher codes may be redeemed online or at any Box Office location. Tickets are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not have a ticket, you are not guaranteed a seat.
Using Your Badge for Day-Of & At-Rush Tickets
Seeing a film on the fly? Thirty (30) minutes prior to any public Festival screening, you may also use your badge at our on-site Box Office locations to redeem a complimentary ticket. (Subject to availability.)
If you don’t have a ticket for a film that’s “At Rush,” you must join the Rush Line before using your badge to redeem a complimentary ticket.
Please Note: Your badge is NOT a ticket. You must request comp tickets to all screenings other than your own at the on-site Box Office or by using your voucher code online. Please have your code ready for on-site purchases.
Discounted Tickets
Accredited Guests may also purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate. To allow you to purchase discounted tickets online, the Guest Services Team will send you a unique discount code by early June; please DO NOT distribute the code.
During the Festival, you may also present your badge at any Box Office location in order to receive the discounted price when purchasing tickets in person.
Remember: Your badge is non-transferable.
Each film is allotted a specific number of complimentary tickets based on the screening venue’s capacity:
Please contact the Guest Services Team at hospitality@frameline.org if you do not plan on using all of your allotted tickets.
If you would like additional tickets, please purchase them online or at any Box Office location.
Each Accredited Guest will receive their film’s Welcome Packet via email the week of May 13 as well as access to the FL49 Filmmaker Resources Dropbox, which contains everything from event schedules to a Festival directory and official laurels.
All tickets, vouchers, and discount codes will follow in a separate email.
Unless otherwise noted, please arrive at least 45 minutes before your screening to check in with a Theater Host, Frameline Programmer, or Venue Manager. They will be outside to greet you, introduce you to the Frameline49 staff member running your Intro and Q&A session, and assist you with any questions you may have prior to your screening.
Due to staffing and scheduling, we cannot guarantee tech checks, though our Operations Team will try their best to accommodate your request. To ask for a tech check, please fill out our FL49 Tech Check Request Form ASAP so that we can plan accordingly.
Filmmaker Happy Hours
Join us for daily Happy Hours at the Festival Lounge from 3-7 PM, starting Thursday, June 19. Please refer to your Welcome Packet or the Guest Services Team for exceptions and/or cancellations.
Festival Meetups
Our Community Outreach Team has a number of fun meetups planned so that you can mix and mingle with your fellow filmmakers and Festival-goers. A schedule of events will be added to the FL49 Filmmaker Resources Dropbox in June.
Festival Parties
This year’s official parties include the First Friday Party (June 20, 8:30 PM—12:00 AM at Charmaine’s) and the Pride Kickoff Party (June 27, 9:00 PM—12:00 AM at Oasis).
Each accredited guest will receive a code redeemable for one (x1) First Friday Party ticket and one (x1) Pride Kickoff Party ticket. You may redeem your code for tickets online or at an in-person Box Office location.
Please Note: Tickets for pre-party film screenings must be purchased separately. Party tickets are limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
A limited number of film tickets to the Festival’s Big Nights will be made available for Accredited Guests. This number will depend on availability. We will contact Accredited Guests by email within 72 hours of the event with more information about how to RSVP if tickets are available. Otherwise, Accredited Guests are welcome to purchase tickets for Opening Night, First Friday, Pride Kickoff, and Closing Night films.
The Festival Directory will be added to the FL49 Filmmaker Resources Dropbox in June so that you can easily connect with other filmmakers and industry professionals who are attending the Festival.
For this year’s Print Source List, please visit our Press page.
Note: Although there are some bus lines that run all night on limited schedules, the MUNI and BART (subway and rail lines) end service around midnight, which makes taxis and rideshares (Uber, Lyft, Waymo) a better option for some guests.
