Frameline40 Festival / Seasonal Opportunities
The Operations Manager is responsible for the successful operational and logistical execution of Frameline40: The San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival (June 16 - 26, 2016). The Operations Manager strengthens Frameline’s infrastructure through detailed management of Film Festival operations and staff, and the development and maintenance of streamlined Festival-logistics processes.
Box Office Manager
Frameline is seeking an energetic, independent and highly organized Box Office Manager with a passion for customer relations and LGBTQ film. The Box Office Manager is responsible for the logistical and successful operation of the Festival Box Office before and during Frameline40: San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival (June 16 - 26, 2016), The Box Office Manager utilizes the Luminate Ticketing System (by POP Multimedia, Inc.) to ensure all festival ticketing needs are met and orders are fulfilled. This position also works closely with the finances, membership, programming, IT and operations departments. In addition, the position is responsible for the hiring, training, & supervision of two Box Office Supervisors and Festival Cashiers.
The Travel Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating Film Festival VIP guest travel and accommodations before and during Frameline40: San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival (June 16 - 26, 2016). This position works closely with the Sponsorship Department and Program & Hospitality Manager and is responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of the Travel Assistant/Festival Driver and Volunteer Hospitality Drivers.
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating and supervising 400 to 500 volunteers before and during Frameline40: The San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival (June 16 - 26, 2016), ensuring that all volunteer shifts are covered and that all Film Festival staff are suitably supported by volunteers. This position works closely with the Operations team and is responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of the Volunteer Intern(s).
Print Traffic Coordinator
The Print Traffic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and arranging for incoming and outgoing shipment of film exhibition materials (film prints, video tapes, hard drives, and digital media files), including the trafficking between the office, press screenings and Film Festival venues before, during, and after Frameline40: The San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival (June 16 - 26, 2016). This position works closely with the Operations team, Technical Director, and is responsible for the supervision of the Print Traffic Assistant.
Frameline internships offer excellent exposure to the operational, programmatic, and public relations processes of a top-ranked film festival as well as the Distribution program of a leading LGBTQ non-profit arts organization. Students can arrange to receive coursework credit for their internships.
Programming & Hospitality Intern
The Program and Hospitality Intern will assist the Programming & Hospitality Manager and P&H Assistant who provide direct support to the Director of Exhibition & Programming in all regards to film entries and filmmakers. The P&H intern will also help run the Film Festival Green Room, cater to the needs of VIPs and other guests, and manage volunteer Hospitality Hosts and Theatre Hosts in relation to Frameline40: San Francisco International Film Festival (June 16 - 26, 2016).
