Gifted With Values - Interning At Frameline

It takes a queer village to put on a Festival, and Frameline is no exception. Each year, Frameline welcomes fantastic interns to our LGBTQ+ family, providing them with a variety of opportunities during and outside of the Festival. One Frameline42 intern, Pete Mancilla, shared his experiences and the lessons he learned in Marketing and Communications:

"From April to July this year I had the opportunity to be the marketing intern at a film festival called Frameline in San Francisco. I discovered Frameline last year when I moved back to the Bay Area after over ten years of constant relocation. I ended up back in the East Bay because of my intentions of getting into the University of San Francisco.

I was volunteering at an LGBT Center in Berkeley called Pacific Center when I came across free tickets to one of Frameline's encore screenings at the Piedmont theater. Right then and there I fell in love with Frameline's mission and began to research how I could get involved. LGBTQ+ work and advocacy are one of my passions and if I could mix that into my work experience I knew it could be ideal for me."... Read full article at LinkedIn
