How do you make sure that your project gets seen by as many people as possible, and who are the people that makes that happen? During this panel, a group of the industry’s top distributors and sales agent will do a deep dive into the many paths into acquisitions. From theatrical to streaming releases, and short film to feature film distribution, this panel will answer the always-haunting question “What’s next?”

This panel fosters dialogue between queer actors, exploring how they are challenging representation in mainstream media and discovering alternative ways of showcasing queerness in film. Asking questions about what it means to perform characters near or mirroring actors’ identities, this panel unpacks how performance reshapes narratives, empowers communities and promotes inclusivity both on- and off-screen. Performing Queerness surfaces the precious and joyous opportunities found in queer actors portraying queer characters alongside the responsibility of representing the historically underrepresented.

Panelists: Aidan Dick (Playland), Lorena Russi (A History of Sitting in Waiting Rooms), Matt Campanella (Daddy Issues), and Dalila Ali Rajah (Agents of Change – Project: Polymer)
