Hotel Paradijs

Directed by Jan Kruger

31 mins

Each day, Paul crosses the canal that separates the Amsterdam city center from the industrial area on the north side, where his lover Christiaan lives and waits for him impatiently. It’s a dear routine for both—until one day Paul meets Claire, who begins to seduce him into her very own universe, the Hotel Paradijs. Claire makes Paul the audience of her own play; a play where the roles are reversed and into which Paul is undeniably drawn. This 2007 mid-length narrative film is a rare film that fully embraces bisexuality, as Paul struggles with his love and passion across two very different partners.
