A dreamy and at times abstract triptych of images that progresses through layered realities of experience, desire, expectation and the often-banal reality of life. Romance of any kind can often play out the highs and lows of melodrama: Emotions are all there—anticipation, tension, that requited moment and imminent failure. Our internal visualizations of these moments often eclipse the reality of the situation. Internally, we imbue our experiences with all the color and texture of a 50s melodrama, whilst externally two people attempt to connect but often fail quietly.
