Welcome to the 48th season of Frameline, the world’s longest-running LGBTQ+ Film Festival! Below you will find everything you need to know about how to attend our programs, film screenings and events. PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 15 MINUTES EARLY TO ENSURE YOUR SEAT
A ticket will gain you entrance to the film or party shown on the ticket, which also displays the venue name and start time. Each ticket has a unique QR code that is good for one admission. We can scan the QR from your phone at the door, or you can print the PDF at home.
If your ticket says “Priority” please proceed to the Priority entrance line. If your ticket says “Sponsor” please ask the Frameline staff to show you your reserved seat.
Gold Passes grant the holder priority admission to all festival films at the Herbst Theatre and the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre only, as well as the First Friday Gala and Pride Kickoff Party. When you arrive at the venue, look for the Gold Pass entrance line. You do not need a separate ticket at these theaters and parties. Each Pass has a unique QR code that is good for one admission. We can scan the QR from your phone at the door, or you can print the PDF at home. One additional ticketed guest may enter with you through the Gold Pass line.
Gold Passes can be used at the smaller theaters but only if seats are still available. We encourage you to reserve a seat online ahead of time with your Gold Code if possible. If not, please arrive at the screening early and inquire at the box office about availability.
A Gold Pass may be shared with others, but each pass is only good for one admission at each film/event. Two people may not attend the same film/event on the same Gold Pass. If you share your Gold Pass we encourage you to track when and where it will be used.
Gold Passes also grant you access to the Festival’s streaming supplement at watch.frameline.org once the festival begins. Passholders will receive login information. For more information about streaming, including how to stream films on your devices, please visit our website.
In order to better accommodate the number of small theaters this year, each Gold Pass comes with a Gold Code. You can use your code to reserve seats at the small theaters in advance. Each code can be redeemed at our online box office for up to 10 priority tickets, but for only one ticket per screening. They can only be redeemed for small theater screenings since your Gold Pass will still get you priority access to all Palace of Fine Arts and Herbst Theatre shows. Gold Codes can be redeemed during both the presale (May 22 – 24) and the regular sale (from May 24). We encourage you to act fast! Please see the Ticket Voucher section below for instructions on how to redeem them.
These alphanumeric codes may be redeemed for film screening tickets through the Frameline online box office. Each voucher is good for one ticket and can be redeemed during the regular sale (starting May 24) for all theaters. Vouchers may not be redeemed for the First Friday or Pride Kickoff films or parties.

Please visit our Film Guide starting May 22 to review the program. Gold Codes can be redeemed from May 22, and regular vouchers can be used from May 24. After selecting a program, follow the instructions below on the film page:
If you have multiple vouchers to use, you may add multiple tickets to your cart one at a time before completing the checkout process.
A valid email address is required. Theater tickets will be sent within 48 hours of redemption.
