The San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival
The world’s first, largest and most prominent LGBT film Festival, Frameline32
(June 19-29, 2008) will attract more than 60,000 diverse LGBT movie
goers for eleven days of the world’s best queer cinema. Frameline32 is
the ultimate LGBT arts event in the Bay Area, offering direct access to
a diverse LGBT market.
Reel Women
A program dedicated to the women of Frameline and increasing opportunities for lesbian filmmakers. Reel Women hosts screenings and events throughout the year as well as exclusive Film Festival parties and receptions. Year-Round Film Events
Now in its second successful year, Frameline at The Center
is our series of monthly admission-free screenings of issue-oriented
documentary and short subject films. Frameline at The Center is
presented in partnership with the San Francisco LGBT Community Center.
Frameline also presents additional monthly screenings and “sneak
previews” of high-profile feature films. Single event or series
sponsorship opportunities are available.
Generations Film Workshop:
Youth and Elders Making Movies Together
During the course of two ten-week video production courses, elder (ages
55+) and youth (ages 15-20) students will work independently and in
partnership to create their own films that will be exhibited during the
San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. Naming rights and
sponsorship are available for Generations, a culturally significant and vitally important program.
Filmmaker Awards and Grants
Each year, Frameline awards nearly $70,000 directly to LGBT filmmakers. Festival awards
include the First Feature Award, Best Documentary Award and three
Audience Awards. As the largest cash awards of any LGBT film festival,
naming rights provide international promotion and exposure for sponsors.
