Frameline is thrilled to partner with guest bloggers from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire during this year's festival! We've invited students from the LGBTQA Studies: San Francisco Travel Seminar at UWEC to share their experiences of Frameline and their thoughts on San Francisco's queer community. As they attend Frameline and experience San Francisco, they will be creating LGBTQ-themed documentaries, as well as vetting films for their second Eau Queer Film Festival in the fall. After the film I was finally given the opportunity to ask a question for the director.  Of course I grabbed hold and gave it a shot.  I asked what had inspired the director to make the film and his response was simply, the seven-year itch.  Later on he went on saying that it partially was inspired by society’s obsession with technology.  How a film of such magnitude can be shot in a total of 12 days is just mind-blowing. A quote said in the movie to live by is “you make a life together, no one hands one to you” has to be one of my all-time favorites.  Sometimes we need a gentle little reminder to notice what we have right in front of us, even if it be an app.  Beware the next time you read this two word phrase, “installation complete!’” -Katie Johnson
