This week's round-up of LGBT film/media news:
25 Gay Films Everyone Should See: The Sequel (MetroWeekly) By now we know that it's nearly impossible to refine a comprehensive list of essential queer films. That's why MetroWeekly brings us The Sequel to their 2009 list, "25 Gay Films Everyone Should See." "Queer cinema is evolving -- slowly but surely -- into a mainstream entertainment, but it's still one that pushes the envelope and achieves a richness of culture that goes far beyond the norm. Our stories are just that compelling," writes MetroWeekly. This list compiles 25 films based on their cultural impact and their role in helping to define queer culture. We look forward to 2012's list!
Tina Fey Submits to a Gay Pop Culture Quiz (New York Magazine) This past Saturday was the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, and host Andy Cohen surprised Tina Fey with a pop quiz on gay pop culture. Tina's hilarious responses are not to be missed!
