Frameline Helps Make University Safer

October 11, 2010

What?  Why is that relevant to Frameline, you ask?  Good question! This summer, Frameline was proud to host a group of students from the university's first ever LGBTQA Studies: San Francisco Travel Seminar.  Here's what local news station WQOW has to say:
At the Frameline festival, students viewed films from all over the world and participated in discussions with audiences, filmmakers, actors and Frameline staff. The travel seminar culminated with the inaugural Eau Queer Film Festival Oct. 7-10, which included four separate documentaries produced by students. The film festival on campus preceded National Coming Out Day...
We couldn't be happier than to see the work of our festival translated into media-based student activism across the country!  Given all of the difficult news of late, we're happy to have glimmers of hope like these.
